PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS
and the Very Best of
Christmas Pins

Becky Roberts' Elves are the perfect paper crafts to make for the holidays:

I made a whole bunch of them for my PJ Party last week. They have small clothespins (1 3/4" size from Michaels) on the back which makes them useful in a variety of different ways. I'm using them for hand delivered cards to dress up the envelopes a bit...and who doesn't appreciate a little Ghirardelli holiday treat?!

The photos below show the two variations of attaching the clothespins to the chocolates with landscape and portrait orientations:

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Christmas Crafting and the
Very Best of Pinterest Pins

LOVE this idea with York Peppermint Patties!

mint patty craft | Lastly, some adorable snowman peppermint patties...:

I used Nesties to make a large one, and I bought a package of mints at Walgreens to make a smaller version:

The larger York patties are individually packaged inside the bag, but they are no longer covered tightly in foil and have air in the silver cellophane packaging. See the mint in the foreground in the pic below:

SU Stamp Set: Endless Wishes

...so I poked a small hole with a pin in the packaging on each one to release the air, then I taped the flaps to the center so the ends wouldn't stick out beyond the dark blue scalloped circles.

Here are some more York patty craft ideas on Pinterest:

PIN IT FRIDAY FAVS:
Star Wars Cards and the
Very Best of Pinterst Pins

My son had his 30th birthday recently and I wanted to make a special card for him. I saw this card on Pinterst and decided my Star Wars fan would love one like it!

I thought a Yoda sentiment would be perfect for this card:

I made one more card and rounded the edges at the top:

Birthday Bling and the
Very Best of Pinterest Pins

simple Karte:

When I saw this card, it made me instantly happy! I tried a version with lines drawn using a Micro pen, but the lines turned out poorly and I nearly gave up on trying a version of this card. Last week, this card came up again...and I knew I had to give it one more try! This time, I used my computer to make the lines and at last...I was happy with this version:

...and version #2:

Here are a few more pins with bling that make me happy!

The gilding flakes won this round - there wasn't really enough coverage on this gorgeous Penny Black tree. I added three Stickles and two Liquid Pearls as well as some gems to it, so you can hardly tell! I added a couple of white layers as I wanted to keep the design very clean but the card needed a little something extra and I think the white layers worked well.:

I have loads of trees stamps...I must experiment with gray ink plus a red border on white!

Supply List: Cardstock: Shimmer White, Baja Breeze Stamps:  Jolly Jingles jumbo roller #120864 Embellishments:  Snowburst Embossing folder, Ornament Punch, Basic Pearls, White 5/8" satin ribbon, Rhinestone brad, white embossing powder, heat gun, Versamark ink.

This is not SU Serene Silhouettes but thought it might would work. (This one was a PTI).:

Lastly, here's a pin I saw for a lovely Thanksgiving card:

Now this is my kind of fall card!

...and my version using SU's Branch Out set:

The added banner was the result of a happy little mistake/opportunity. The font I originally used on the base layer was too bold, so I just printed up a second more delicate version, cut it into a banner and covered the original sentiment with the new improved sentiment. I think it enhanced the card with the raised banner. I love it when near lemons turn into lemonade during the card making process!
